Most difficult case I have ever seen...

We had e-mailed the social worker in Danang to let her know that MyLinh is bonding and adjusting, and we attached photos for her to share with the orphanage staff and foster family. The social worker just responded tonight, with obvious relief, writing: "I am very happy to see MyLinh's photos...She is the most difficult case I have ever seen."

We were not prepared for those first days, especially not our first hours together when MyLinh refused to be held by us and screamed until she vomited. To hear that she was difficult and the situation was hard, really hard, helped validate the bewilderment and fear I had experienced.

Praising God as I look at the picture of you kissing your girl. I can't even imagine the bewilderment, fear and pain you must have felt in your first days together with MyLinh. You and Alex weathered that storm, climbed that mountain, and now you bask in the sweetness of your daughter's smiles for her daddy and mommy.....truly truly a miracle right before our eyes.

Amen to what Lydia said!

Not only are your blogs wonderfully articulate, but you sure have some very poetic and descriptive family and friends! I enjoy reading the comments as much as the blogs! You sure have the makings of a wonderful book...with the photo's included....It'll be on the best sellers list in no time.

Thank You and Praises to sweet, sweet Jesus for this journey with MyLinh, and what a wonderful fun future you have to look forward to with your new family!! Can't wait to see you all!

Love,
Dea
