9 days...

We have been home for nine days now, yet Vietnam feels years away. Granted, this stretch has been really rough physically as we have battled fatigue, jet lag, and viruses. (We sent my mom home with the fever/aches/cough!) We have definitely had to rearrange our expectations of this time, and we are now just attempting to cheerfully put one foot in front of the other, not conquer great projects or accomplish, well, anything other than eating well and hugging each other. It has been difficult to be quarantined, as we have longed to share our MyLinh. At the same time, it really hasn't been until these past two days that we have had the emotional energy to even start answering the phone to catch up with those that have so lovingly prayed us home.

We still haven't celebrated our birthday girl (or Alex), but here is a photo of our girl on her day with a couple of birthday cards that made mommy cry (and MyLinh grin).

Here is our Malcolm with a new scarf, knit by Gram, just in time for the 28 degree weather we have forecast for this weekend. Brrr...

Welcome home! We're so glad you are all home, but sorry to here about the rough re-entry. Sickness is such, such a bummer. Hang in there...the sunshine will come, the fevers will cease and soon you'll all be outside and running around. I can only imagine what a unique transition time this is for you. We continue to think of you so much and look forward to a time when we can get together again. Love, Rebecca & boys
